I have been working in education for four years. For over two years I was a long term substitute teacher for a K-12 charter school. This gave me the great opportunity to teach all different grade levels and topics. During these years I had the chance to create an after school tutoring program. I helped students with math, science and organizational skills. Currently I'm working as a teacher's aide for the special education department at a preparatory school. I get to work one on one with students with many different learning disabilities. Furthermore, I work with their general education teachers to help develop different teaching techniques. All of this has truly made me an effective educator with hope of teaching in the future.
I have been tutoring students in math for four years and have learned many different techniques of teaching and having fun while learning math. I enjoy helping students create there own personal style of learning. I understand how every student learns differently. With patience and hard work a topic such as math can be conquered.
I love science! At a young age I developed a passion and love for anything involved in science. Since high school I've tutored students in this subject in one way or another. And as I entered college I was able to continue enhancing my knowledge in the field of biology. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Health Science from UC Santa Cruz. I'm currently working on my High School teaching credential that will give me the ability to teach biology and Earth science.
I'm currently available Tuesday through Friday from 4pm to 9pm. I can travel to your home or we can meet at a public library (or even a Starbucks!).
I look forward to enhancing your academic skills and broadening your horizon. Dear Learners,

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
