Have you been in a situation where all the choices on a physics test look the same? Do you feel uncomfortable with a math problem even after solving it multiple times? Or, do you get confused between 'potential', 'energy', 'work' and 'force'? If so, I have been there too - both as a student while taking classes, and then as a tutor helping students who struggled with the same things.

During my role as a tutor at UCSB, I have seen that introductory physics and math classes can be perplexing, often because the fundamentals are not emphasized enough. Therefore, I believe in a teaching model which emphasizes learning things from the first principles instead of repetitive problem solving.

As a physics senior, I have taken all the lower division math courses (Calc I-IV, Linear Algebra and Differential Equations), earning a 4.0 in all of these classes. I have also taught these courses to freshmen and sophomores for an year. I can help with math fundamentals or help solve specific problems that you might be struggling on.

Physics has been my favorite subject and I have completed most of the physics courses (3.9/4.0 major GPA) required for the major. I have tutored lower division physics (mechanics, electricity and magnetism, modern physics) as well as been a learning assistant for upper division physics courses (lagrangian and hamiltonian mechanics). In my experience, physics requires a special intuition which takes time to be built, and that is why physics is usually one of the harder introductory subjects. I can help you accelerate the learning process by sharing the lessons I learnt while learning physics.

If you need help making simulations with python, or are getting into using python for scientific analysis then I can be of help. As a physics researcher, I have been using Python for machine learning and simulating dynamical systems. I have trained autoencoding neural network classifiers, simulated the Schrodinger equation in 2D and done light curve analysis using Python.

Absolutely Excellent!

While having such an enriching background in advanced physics, Siddhant is still a master at the basics of mechanics consisting of Newton and Kepler's laws. 10/10 recommend. His explanations are not only flawless, but he helps you understand! He walks you through whatever problem assuring that you have mastered the theory and fully comprehend it.

Very knowledgeable and patient.

I am a medical student studying Physics. And to be honest I am very bad at it but though that was the case Siddhant was able to break down the problems I had into very simple parts that were easy to learn. He is definitely the go to tutor for physics.

Helpful Tutor

Siddhant taught me some basic concepts in linear algebra and physics. He thoroughly went over core ideas and really made sure I had a solid foundation in the subjects. Would definitely take a lesson with him again!
