I have more than 25 years of performance and teaching experience. I've performed all around the world including multiple performances at Carnegie Hall, at Lincoln Center and for Broadway shows in NYC. I've also recorded for numerous television and radio broadcasts. My teaching experience includes all grade levels from Pre-Kindergarten through university level. I am equally comfortable working with complete beginners to advanced students and professionals. I am currently teaching instrumental music, chorus, music theory and solfege at several public and private schools in Santa Monica, Malibu and Pacific Palisades. I studied composition at Berklee College of Music and privately for many years. I also studied three years of harmony/counterpoint at Manhattan School of Music. I have written scores for film, orchestrated for Broadway-style pit orchestras, written jazz tunes, produced commercial recordings, and co-wrote a full length musical theatre piece. I have 25 + years of experience as a professional musician and composer.

I have been composing and producing music for 15 years using several types of software including Pro-Tools, Cubase, Logic, Digital Performer and GarageBand. I've been teaching GarageBand for 10 years and have created my own pictorial tutorials which demonstrate step-by-step instructions and easy to understand concepts, even for the most technologically challenged students.

Upon the request of my former principal, I designed an entire music history curriculum to be taught at a charter school in Los Olivos, CA. I have all the materials, including text and recordings. I have taken music history courses at both Berklee College of Music and Manhattan School of Music, where I earned my Bachelor's degree in music.

I am currently teaching piano privately, and am the accompanist for both my general music classes/performances at Seven Arrows Elementary and for SMMUSD. I have a Bachelor's Degree from Manhattan School of Music, where I passed out of all required ear training classes because of prior knowledge gained from attending Berklee College of Music, where I passed out of the beginning ear training courses, and earned all A's in remaining ear training courses (2 semesters), A's in solfege (2 semesters) and passed out of part one of atonal solfege, and earned an "A" in part two of the Atonal solfege course. That was the highest level class that was offered at Berklee. I also have perfect pitch and have a piano background as well as being a professional flutist, so I have an excellent ear and can easily teach ear training to anyone. I also have a CA Clear Single Subject (Music) K-12 teaching Credential from Chapman University.

I have a Bachelor's degree in classical flute performance from Manhattan School of Music and attended Berklee College of Music for 6 semesters as a jazz flute major. I also have a CA Clear K-12 Single Subject (Music) Teaching Credential. I have more than 25 years professional performance experience and more than 30 years of teaching experience. I have performed all over the world, having toured and recorded with many prestigious ensembles both in the classical and jazz worlds. My performances have included all the major concert halls in Japan, Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei, Thailand, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Spain, Brazil and at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and on Broadway in New York City. I am currently teaching at several public and private schools in Santa Monica, Malibu and West LA.

I graduated from Chapman University's Teacher Education Program and subsequently completed the required additional BTSA Teacher Training Program. In addition to my professional performance experience of more than 25 years, and my teaching experience of more than 30 years, I am currently teaching general music, instrumental and vocal music at several Los Angeles area schools including Seven Arrows Elementary School in Pacific Palisades and multiple elementary schools in SMMUSD as a vocal coach/accompanist.

I have extensive training in Solfege and ear training. I graduated from Manhattan School of Music and also attended Berklee College of Music. I passed out of all required solfege courses at Manhattan School of Music. At Berklee College of Music, the highest level class that I passed was Atonal Sofege 2, which was the highest level of solfege offered at the school. I earned an "A" in this course.

I am the former Choral Director at New Roads School in Santa Monica and have previously held similar posts at Laguna Blanca High School in Santa Barbara, and for a number of musical theatre programs in which I was the vocal coach and piano accompanist.
