Hi, I'm Danielle! I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Physics with minors in mathematics and computer science. Following my love for physics, I went on to get my PhD in it as well. Hi, I'm Danielle! I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Physics with minors in mathematics and computer science. Following my love for physics, I went on to get my PhD in it as well. One of my favorite parts of my program was teaching and getting students excited about physics. I taught 7 semesters of introductory physics to incoming college freshman. The class was designed to engage hands on learning of the students through completion of guided lab exercises. My favorite part was helping students come to understand a concept that they had been struggling with. I do my best to understand where someone is getting stuck and working with them until we've put all the pieces together!

In general, I believe in learning by doing. I plan most tutoring sessions to be collaboratively working through problems with little time spent lecturing and memorizing. I have found this technique to be the most efficient way to learn physics and math. In addition to my time spent teaching, I also held office hours where students could come to me for individual help. These were some of my favorite interactions because I was able to focus on one student and ensure that they had the tools they needed to succeed.

Due to the collaborative nature of the process, I enjoy learning from my students as much as teaching. I encourage students to bring resources and suggestions so that we can both grow through the experience. I am easy to reach and will always provide fast responses. Feel free to contact me with any additional questions or to schedule a lesson.

A solid foundation in a wide range of mathematics topics was required for the successful completion of my PhD. I often tutored my friends in college to help them pass their math classes. I enjoy getting students excited about math.

I spent 6 semesters teaching introductory college physics. I believe in a 'learn by doing' approach where students are engaged answering questions and challenging their own understanding of the subject.
