Hello! My name is Rafael, a math tutor with a background in engineering and a passion for helping students gain confidence in math. I earned my BS degree in Petroleum Engineering, which means not only do I know math, but I use it every day to solve real-world problems. I bring that same problem-solving mindset to tutoring, breaking down complex concepts into clear solutions that students can understand and apply.

My approach is structured, patient, and interactive. I guide students to draw diagrams, define variables, and translate word problems into equations. That way the student not only solves the problem but truly understands it.

As an engineer, I truly believe that making mistakes and learning from them is how you get better. That is exactly how I help students succeed in math.
