College Spanish Teacher

I am a Spanish teacher who has 24 years of experience. I come from Peru, therefore I am a native speaker. I love to teach that's always been my passion since I could remember. I have also taught in many different places, dealing with different people, learning in what ways I could help them achieve their goals. One of the many places in which I have dealt with different students, different backgrounds would be at Glendale Community College, I Not only enjoy teaching, but also helping my students grow and develop with Spanish, no matter the circumstances.

All of my classes are taught 90% in Spanish or in total immersion, I have also been given the opportunity to teach one on one classes, by my experience. I have learned a lot with this opportunity, because I not only get to know the students and their limitations with the Spanish Language, but I encourage them to keep going and never give up, no matter what barriers come along their way. I encourage and motivate all of my students to always finish what they start no matter what they face.

I am very passionate when it comes to my teaching, I started teaching beginning conversation Spanish 1 and Spanish 2 classes through Glendale Community College's Services Education program. Over the last 12 years of being there, I have taught over 80 Conversational Spanish classes , both level one and level two. I am currently teaching Conversation Spanish Level 1. I conduct myself in a professional manner, and always have time for my students, I always thrive on teaching and being passionate with guiding my students toward their full potential.

I hold myself to a high standard, not only because of my 24 years of experience, but because I am also a Literature Professor, I have read many novels, poems. etc.
