Hello there! As a new graduate of Doctor of Optometry, I personally understand how some learning material may be difficult to understand, and that things have to be repeated, or presented in different ways. Everybody learns differently, and I will work with my student to find a way for them to understand the material, and not just get the answers.

Hello there! As a new graduate of Doctor of Optometry, I personally understand how some learning material may be difficult to understand, and that things have to be repeated, or presented in different ways. Everybody learns differently, and I will work with my student to find a way for them to understand the material, and not just get the answers.
I have been tutoring for over a decade for students ranging from elementary to graduate school. I have helped students significantly improve their grade and their understanding in elementary math, pre-algebra, algebra I, algebra II, geometry, SAT math, and college level biology and chemistry. I recall that one of my students needed help in algebra II, biology, and chemistry, and I helped him raise his grade up significantly in all 3 classes within half of a semester.
School life is tough. Academically and socially, students must survive an environment that is mentally and emotionally draining. Students will question their life direction, frequently change career paths, go through periods of self-doubt (I definitely had periods of Imposter Syndrome), but will discover the most about themselves. Having just graduated in early 2019, finding ways to deal with school life is fresh within me, and I am now a Doctor of Optometry.
My goal is to not only improve my students’ grades, but to also mentor them and give them life-long tools so that they can continue to efficiently reach their goals in the future. To do so, I work towards getting to know my students on a personal level, so that a mutual trust is built. As such, I hope to build a successful team by working with the parents and the student. Thank you for viewing my profile, and I hope to work with you towards success.
