Hello, students. I have over three years of experience as an ESL adult school teacher. I enjoy the satisfaction of students learning a new language and being more productive in our society through their language skills. Many of my students have commented on their new-found ability to interview well for employment and fill out job applications. ESL is a valuable skill needed in order to be successful, whether you are a new immigrant or have been here for many years.
My classroom experience includes ESL in Huntington Beach adult school, as a substitute ESL teacher throughout Orange County and as physical education teacher in Inglewood, CA. My approach is to determine a student's language level and experience with ESL so I can then tailor my instruction to their needs if it is a one-on-one. If I have a group ESL class, whether it is for a company or in classroom, I will also determine student's ability and tailor activities for all the different abilities.
I look forward to hearing from individuals, corporations, and classes seeking a good experienced ESL instructor.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
