I would like for you to know that I have over 40 years of sewing experience. I currently quilt, make all kinds of purses and other projects. Over the years I have sewn many different projects from wedding gowns to quilts. I also crochet, scrapbook and tole paint. I have taught many people different types of crafts over the years.
I am passionate about teaching all types of crafts. I feel that it is so important to teach students to use their imagination. I have been teaching friends, co-workers and family for years. My niece spent part of a summer with me and I taught her how to sew. She was 9 at the time.
I am so excited to see that you are willing to teach your daughters a craft that they can use for the rest of their lives. It is so convenient to be able to make what you want and in the exact colors you want. What could be better than to see the look of pride on someone's face after they just completed a project. I am patient, helpful and enthusiastic. I will give handouts to help explain what I am teaching. The first things I would need to know are what your interests are and what your ability to sew is. It will be really fun. I already have ideas for some simple projects. Please consider me.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have been sewing for over 40 years. I have had many opportunities to teach my friends and family to sew. One summer I taught my 9 year old niece. I am passionate about sewing and love to teach others. I have taken classes from jr. high school and through college. I even take an occasional class at my local quilt shop.
