I recently completed my master's degree in Occupational Therapy and have since passed my boards and am now licensed. During this time I am looking for a job as a therapist; however, I have some time to tutor on the side as I did while I was in school. I received my undergraduate degree from University of California, Irvine and worked as a business analyst for ~6 years. I have been tutoring since High School in various subjects, such as Math, English, and other core subjects. The students I have tutored ranged from elementary aged children to high school students.

I am well versed in the English language and am able to tutor in grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure to name a few. I have also taken mathematics up to college calculus and statistics. I am also knowledgeable in the basics for an array of subjects and am adept to effectively tutor k-12 students. Additionally, I have anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology knowledge from a graduate level for my master's degree.

I am a problem solving individual and quick to find solutions to any problem I encounter and do not know the answer to. This is extremely helpful and makes me able to adapt to a student's needs quickly and effectively.

I was born and raised in California. I graduated from University of California, Irvine in 2007 with a ~3.5 GPA and worked as a revenue analyst with DaVita (a healthcare provider) for 5 years. A few months ago, I quit my full time job to take prerequisite courses to go back to school and get my masters and am currently in the process of doing so. I have tutored in the while I was in High School and in College in various subjects, such as Math, English, and other core subjects. The students I have tutored ranged from elementary aged children to High school students. I am well versed in the English language and am able to tutor in grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure to name a few. Since graduating from UCI in 2007, I have worked in a professional environment for 5 years as a revenue analyst. I have had experience presenting to managers, directors, and VP's. I know the hardships of public speaking and I believe that with a lot of practice, anyone can overcome them. I could be of great aid to someone who needs some assistance to improve their public speaking. I am a problem solving individual and quick to find solutions to any problem I encounter and do not know the answer to. This is extremely helpful and makes able to adapt to a student's needs quickly and effectively.

Elementary (K-6th)

I have excelled in all subjects in elementary school (K-6th). Besides the fact that I was an advanced student, my background and understanding students in K-6 subjects also came from being a private tutor for a 4th and 6th grader over a course of two years. I have assisted students in mainly Math (basic to advanced algebra) and English (writing essays, summaries, vocabulary, grammar). I also have much knowledge in science and history. I'm very patient and any time I tutor a student, they learn flawlessly. I have proven success in this area, as test scores and overall comprehension improved through measurable results. I have also taken an education course at UCI during my undergrad, which included over 80 hours of volunteer work at an underprivileged school nearby. There, I worked with a class room of ~25 students after school assisting them with their homework and improving their computer skills. Also, I took both lifespan and child psychology. Both of which help me understand child development, behaviors, and how to effectively handle the situation based on my understanding of what is expected. I am well versed in the English language and am able to tutor in grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure to name a few. I have also taken mathematics up to college calculus and statistics. I am also knowledgeable in the basics for an array of subjects and am adept to tutor k-6 students effectively. In my previous experience, I audit my student's homework to ensure accuracy and work through problems as we work together through the tougher topics. My goal is that the students understand the topic rather than just know the answer.
