About Tracy

Let me introduce myself. I am an experienced tutor in both math and science. I have 2 years of experience working with Fresno City College's Upward Bound program tutoring and mentoring at high schools.

I also have several years of private tutoring experience, school-age children, high school children, and adult students in their homes in both math and basic science. I tutor both adults and adolescents in anything from basic/remedial math to pre-calculus, and from basic science to biology, anatomy, and medical terminology.

My philosophy of tutoring is that every student learns in their own way, and I try to customize my sessions to each students needs. While improving grades is always the short term goal of tutoring, my overall goal is to help students discover the best ways for them to learn, so they may have future success. I also try to help them understand how what the study today can be applied to real world applications tomorrow.

I am also available for some recreational subjects. Including swimming, sewing, softball, baseball, and soccer I have experienced both playing and coaching all of these subjects which can make great hobbies, pastimes or just a great way for your kids to burn off some energy.

I currently work night shift at a local hospital so my day/afternoon schedule is fairly flexible. I have reliable transportation and can travel to your home or a mutual public place. I am located very near City College so we can always meet there if you prefer.

Knowledgeable

My daughter had confidence after the first lesson with Tracy. She took her time to explain my daughter each problem and when leaving offered ways to study to be helpful for her.
