My philosophy of tutoring is that every student learns in their own way, and I try to customize my sessions to each students needs. While improving grades is always the short term goal of tutoring, my overall goal is to help students discover the best ways for them to learn, so they may have future success. I also try to help them understand how what the study today can be applied to real world applications tomorrow.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
