Hello potential students! I am an almost teacher who has only 1 more semester at Fresno State to get my certification. I have had experience with 1st graders, 3rd graders, and 4th graders in my classroom experience through my school. All of the semesters that I spent with those students were great and it was a valuable teaching experience for me.
During my classroom teaching it was mostly 1 on 1 or in small groups. I enjoy being able to take the time to make sure that my students understand the material. This is my first time trying tutoring that is not connected to my school. I look forward to hearing from you!
I would be an outstanding Geometry tutor because it has been a subject that was interesting to me. I prefer to work with shapes and variables whenever possible.
I have always loved biology, it will always be a subject of interest to me and I love going into greater depths every time that I review what I know.
I have always had a great grasp of the conventions of the English language and I know from my teaching experience that it is a tough subject to teach.
I have been trained through my school using common core and I will do my best to extend it through my teachings.
While I am not intricately involved with chess, I have always enjoyed playing it and will always be up to helping someone learn it.
I am a multi-talented person and I have much more knowledge and experience in many subjects than I can ever express though a short summary. If you have any questions at all please contact me, I look forward to teaching you! Hello potential students! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am quite familiar with the standard rules of chess but have not yet delved intro the deep facets of it. My current knowledge is more than sufficient to teach the game to my students and I can easily further my own knowledge of the game if I need to. I have been playing chess casually for more than 15 years and consider myself very experienced. It will be easy to teach this game to my students and they will benefit by using me as a More Knowledgeable Other (MKO) that can help them achieve their potential.
I believe that I am qualified to teach Common Core because I have been taught to use it in my college classes. During the previous year of my credentialing program I have been taught to use Common Core in all of my lessons. I have worked with individual students, small groups and whole classrooms when using common core based lessons. I will do my utmost to provide the best learning experience possible and to ensure student learning. I only have 1 more semester at Fresno State to get my teacher certification.
