I am a credentialed high school math teacher with a B.A. in Mathematics and over seven years of classroom experience. Throughout my career, I have taught a wide range of math courses including Algebra I and II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus, and I am deeply familiar with the California standards and curriculum. My teaching credential in single subject mathematics ensures that I not only know the content but also the best practices for guiding students toward mastery.
My teaching experience extends beyond the classroom, as I have worked one-on-one with students who needed extra support, as well as with those seeking enrichment and advancement. In both settings, I focus on breaking down complex concepts into approachable steps, building confidence, and encouraging problem-solving skills that students can carry forward into other areas of learning. I believe that math is not just about memorizing formulas, but it’s about learning how to think critically and creatively when approaching challenges.
I have taught high school students, with a focus on helping teens develop both the technical skills and the mindset to succeed in math. Many of my students have seen significant improvements in their grades and, more importantly, in their confidence when tackling challenging problems. Whether working with a student to strengthen their foundations in Algebra or helping them prepare for AP Calculus, I bring patience, encouragement, and structured strategies to every session.
