About Kiran

Hi!

I have an MS in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering Degree, which covers a wide number of topics, but most notably, Beginning to Adv. Physics, Mathematics, Thermodynamics, Materials, Chemistry, Statics, Dynamics, Heat Transfer, Fluids and computer science. Though out my life I have always found applied mathematics completely interesting, especially in that it can help describe the world around us and with it that a simple equation can predictably provide a reliable solution to a particular phenomena of the natural world.

I fully understand many students will not pursue a STEM major, but I truly hope that whatever help I might be able to provide to a student will give them a small or even better a greater understanding of topics of STEM. I typically try and instill a form problem solving steps that will help a student achieve a general analysis of whatever topic or area the student wishes to make their focus in life.

About Me:
Anyone who has ever mastered an ability, whether it be a musical instrument or sports, will understands the importance of good habits and how it will affect the overall outcome. This approach also is required for any academics topic. When you have good habits, you can thrive in STEM or any Academics field.

I have a MS & BS degree in Aerospace Engineering, over ten years of experience at BAE Systems, NASA, Stanfords Space & Systems Development Laboratory, TE Connectivity and hosting a number of classes in the field of aerospace engineering classes. The first time I tutored was in college specifically in the area’s of (physics, & calculus). Tutoring my friends and fellow classmates was rewarding in that it actually let me perfect my own lectures and how to introduce new and complicated facts utilizing topics that a student would relate.

When I take on a student I do like to have discussion with student in the beginning to have an understanding where they believe they are, who they are such as what are their personal interests.
This allows me to both tailor my tutoring style to student which I find lets them relate to the topic more quickly and also in turn lets them recall the topic for the rest of their lives. I really do believe in teaching to learn the topic for life and not just the test.

Currently, I am applying to begin my Ph.D. studies and starting my own aerospace engineering firm, but I also have continued thrill in seeing people learn the sometimes magical topics contained within the STEM fields.

I am looking forward and completely thrilled at trying to instill a love of the STEM fields though WyzAnt.

Thank you for reading through my profile!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Algebra 1

I have been tutoring algebra at high school and college levels since high school. Along with being an instructor for many different college level courses at the San Jose State University, and still on occasion will come in and sub, for a couple of professor's.

Calculus

As a Sr. Mechanical, Aerospace Systems Engineer I am extremely qualified and utilizing the equations and have a keen understanding of the fundamental of Calculus.

Mechanical Engineering

I am currently have a BS in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering with a concentration in Propulsion and Fluid Mechanics. I also have an MS degree in Aerospace Engineering focusing in Space Transportation. With these two degrees I have experience in teaching not only Newtonian Physics, but also Statics, Dynamics, Strength of Materials, Fluid mechanics, Engineering Design, Control Systems and much more.

Along with my educational experience I also have industry experience working in the aerospace field for both BAE Systems, NASA as an Engineer and also a Product Manager at TE Connectivity, where a number of engineers reported to me.

I believe the above qualifications allow me to be a qualified tutor in Mechanical Engineering.

Microsoft Project

As a Product Manager and a Systems engineer at various fortune 500 other companies and NASA, I was required to utilize MS Project everyday.

This was one many different types of PLM softwares that I was required to utilize and implement to complete projects on time and on budget.

I believe the above qualifications allow me to be a qualified tutor in MS Project.

Physics

As a Sr. Mechanical, Aerospace Systems Engineer I am extremely qualified and utilizing the equations and have a keen understanding of the fundamental derivations of undergraduate and graduate level physics.
