My primary subject area is organic chemistry, but I have taught general chemistry as well. I have written five books and 52 publications and those are used by many Phd students. I have delivered lectures to young chemistry faculty at various colleges and universities.
My teaching style is to keep it simple and start from the basics so that students build an interest in the subject in a way that students relate the subject to some of their daily activities. Ranjit was very helpful in my preparation for organic chemistry. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. As a student I was a member of the basketball team at my school, in college (was captain of college team) and at the university. I remained president of University Basketball Club for twenty years. On the basis of my coaching, guidance and intensive involvement, the teams won the inter-university championship for many years. In addition, I umpired the tournaments of various clubs.
I am science graduate and possess considerable knowledge about various subjects to teach students of K-6 grades. I have studied the languages, chemistry, biochemistry, math, botany, zoology, geography, history, political science, etc. and have taught these subjects to students for years. As a teacher my main task is to foster understanding, and not rote learning. I am extremely empathetic, have patience and understand that each individual needs a different teaching approach. My purpose is to leave an individual unperplexed, exuberant and with better knowledge of the subject that I find absent in the beginning.
Teaching is my passion that I am continuing for the last 40 years. I am of the strong opinion that a person must start learning at an early age to achieve the success. The child with the grasp of language, math and science can accomplish the goal of his or her life. Consequently, it is pertinent to begin the learning process as early as possible and lay ahead of others.
I was, in fact, professor of chemistry in the university and came across a wide variety of students. It made me aware that family, education and good schooling play a significant role to make obvious aficionados of any discipline or trait. An erudite person becomes a creative thinker, an innovator; achieves higher cognitive luster and strides oneself on a trajectory to be the leader among the pantheon of the next generation. I want to show them that anything can be done, no matter their background. Hence, I reckon to devote significant time to tutor the students of young age, in addition to my chemistry teaching to college and university students.

I was a professor in India and used teach subjects in Hindi as well as in Punjabi. I have studied both the languages during my student days. In addition, I have written stories in these languages and can read and write fluently in both Hindi and Punjabi. In fact, Hindi being the national language of India, I am well versed in its vocabulary and able to read, write and translate text from English to Hindi, and vice versa.
I am PhD in organic chemistry and post doctorate with Nobel laureate. I have 35 years of experience of teaching and research of organic chemistry. I correlate the subject to the needs of daily life. After my retirement I have started tutoring job and try to clarify the basic concepts so that students do not face any difficulty to understand the subject. Every student needs a different teaching approach, so I adapt patiently to teach the subject. A good teacher can convert the untapped potential of a student into knowledge, just how an automobile transforms the hidden strength gasoline to energy.
