Fresno State (Child Development)
Hi, my name is Estefany,
I am a child development major and I have worked with all ages. Growing up I have had various opportunities to tutor family and friends, both older and younger than myself. I always enjoyed educating my immediate family; as such, I decided to go into the credential program to teach. I have been told I have patience to teach and I could understand most subjects once I go over the basic information.
Professionally, I worked in the Binational Center for the Development of the Indigenous Communities, where I tutored two older college students in English, grammar, geography and computer concepts.
Independently, I have worked with 8th grade math, 4th grade English and math and 3rd grade math, college level statistics and elementary math. I was recently in a class called physics outreach in which we traveled to different schools to teach physics starting from preschool to college.
I tutored a high school students in Algebra 1 and two college students in elementary math. I was raised in a Spanish speaking household and took 3 years of Spanish in high-school and passed the AP Spanish test. I have worked on English with most grades. I have also helped many of my students with their writing assignments and proofreading. I am happy to help most days out of the week and work around student's schedule. Hi, my name is Estefany,

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
