GWC/Argosy University (Psychology)
Hi, my name is Christopher B. I have a BA in Psychology from Argosy University. I earned my Associate of Arts degree at Golden West College, with a 3.5 GPA where I consistently made the Dean's list. During my high school years, I was an honor roll student at the Orange County High School of the Arts (OCHSA). I had the great honor of being an English and Math tutor for a tutoring company. As a tutor there, it was rewarding to see my students improve. I look forward to seeing my future students from WyzAnt improve academically. I make learning fun.
My life's objective is to make a difference in the world. As a tutor for WyzAnt I have the opportunity to do so by bringing out the best from every student as I have done in my previous tutoring experiences. I impact students by encouraging and motivating them while focusing on their strengths. I truly care about my students. I always go the extra mile to ensure my student's success. I am also open to learning from my students during the teaching process.
My passion is to empower students to develop a love for learning as a lifestyle. I want to contribute to creating a better world for all. Helping students become good citizens is a good place to start. Without a doubt, I strongly believe that tutoring at WyzAnt would be instrumental in me reaching this goal.
I am a violinist. I started violin lessons at age 6. I have had the opportunity to perform in numerous orchestras and prestigious venues. As a youngster, I enjoyed teaching my neighbor how to play the violin. I’m patient, kind and understanding especially when my students are not able to grasp the concept right away. For example, I had a student who had difficulty remembering the names of the violin strings. However, I remained patient, guiding her through the basics as she moved at her own pace. I know how to use different methods of instruction, such as working with students within their own zone of proximal development.
English has always been my favorite subject. I enjoy reading and writing. That’s my passion. One of my screenplays became a Finalist in for extremescreenwriting 2015 contest under the short script category.
Through the years many teachers have been instrumental in my life. As my teachers have done for me, I am looking forward to inspiring my students. Nothing would please me more than to help students develop their innate skills and maximize their life potential, empowering them to reach their life’s dreams. Every child has unlimited potential. When I see a child, I see someone who can do great things for our society. As a tutor, I would water the seeds of greatness that’s already planted in the heart of every student.
Please consider me to tutor your child. I strive to gain in-depth knowledge with regards to the subject matter. I create an atmosphere where students feel comfortable in the learning environment. Ultimately, I plan on launching a career as an English high school teacher. I have already been accepted to USC's Master of Arts in English Teaching and will be attending soon. Thank you for your consideration.
I love reading and writing, I love teaching others how to read and write. One of my screenplays is a semi-finalist for reelwriters contest this year. I have attended and love church and Bible studies for many years. Teaching others is not only very personally rewarding, but it also enhances my knowledge. It keeps my Christian ways up to par every day.
I enjoy proofreading, editing, and making essays and stories flow better; zeroing in on proper grammar.
Please feel free to contact me anytime to discuss your needs. I am here for you and look forward to helping you reach your educational goals! Hi, my name is Christopher B. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I've been a Christian my whole life. I started attending Christian services and Bible studies for the past 10 years. I read a lot of Christian books that help me to continually gain new insights.
