My name is Elizabeth C. and I have over 10 years of experience with elementary-graduate education. I have been a special education teacher with my own special day class and supported students in small groups and one-on-one settings. I have also been a resource specialist, supporting students in general education that required extra support within their classroom or in small groups. I also enjoy supporting first gen, Latino students going into higher education in mentoring and counseling in order to assist with resources and supports.
My educational background is extensive. I hold a bachelors degree from the University of California, Riverside and majored in Liberal Studies, Women Studies and Spanish. I then continued my education there and received a Mild-Moderate special education credential and Master’s degree in education. I currently attend the University of Redlands, received my Administrative credential in 2018, and am working right now towards a Doctoral degree in Leadership for Educational Justice. This is my final year writing my dissertation in supporting Latino families with children with special needs.
I currently work for a school district as a program specialist and support all of our elementary special education programs, as well as site administrators, general education teachers and students. With distance learning and virtual learning on the rise, I offer a variety of technology resources that best support individual student learning needs and methods.
