I am a graduate of the University of North Texas. I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Education. My major is Speech Communication with a minor in Drama and correlating emphasis in the study of English Literature. For over 30 years my teaching experience has encompassed classroom facilitating and one on one coaching to young and older adults as a trainer and employee development specialist.
I am semi-retired from the corporate industry, but currently works as a Public Service Employee with the Registrar of Voter for the County San Bernardino, California. I contract my service as needed to train eligible individuals who volunteer to serve as election poll workers.
However, as an educator my focus is to instill in students the real possibilities of learning and excelling in all study of subjects. Therefore, during my undergraduate study the areas of Science that were of most interest are Biology, Natural Science, Speech Pathology, Psychology and Social Science. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
