I currently teach at San Anselmo Preschool and San Anselmo Aftercare Program. I have been refining my teaching and tutoring skills for close to ten years now. I would love to tutor your child and help them develop a love for Spanish, Music or learning in general! I use curriculum based resources and format each session to the individual needs of each student.
I started speaking and learning Spanish at a young age. I studied Spanish for four years before traveling and working in Spain and Costa Rica. I worked for Sun Trek Tours leading Spanish-speaking groups around the United States. I studied Spanish at College of Marin. I'm a certified Music Together teacher, which involves singing and teaching songs in English and Spanish to parents and children.
My mother was a English Professor and so at an early age I had a head start on Grammar, Proofreading, Reading and Vocabulary. I studied at Santa Rosa Junior College and acquired my Associates Degree at College of Marin. I was later accepted to Sonoma State University where my father was a Professor.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
