I have a Master's degree (an MSW) in Social Welfare and Bachelor's Degree in Communications & Public Policy from UC Berkeley. I also obtained Certificates of Completion in Addiction Studies and Child Development from Los Angeles Pierce College.

As a native English speaker, I went to Hebrew School and graduated Hebrew High School. I traveled to Israel on a 10 week summer Ulpan and again over successive summers. My Hebrew was getting noticeably better with each trip to Israel I completed my first two undergraduate years entirely in Hebrew at Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel, I finished a few intensive, advanced Hebrew classes to further improve my Hebrew. I spoke more and more Hebrew to family and friends as my Hebrew was improving. and my fluency increased.

For over 10 years I taught Hebrew at several Hebrew Schools, Day Schools, Language Schools, and a private Secular School (a Waldorf elementary school). Grade levels (pre K through college) ages (preschool to adult) and skill levels (beginner to advanced) varied I prepared and taught many dynamic and engaging lessons and classes in both Modern Hebrew (reading, writing, and speaking) and Biblical Hebrew (prayer, blessings, Bible/Torah text study, Bar/Bat Mitzvah preparation).

I prepared and taught fun, engaging, inspiring Hebrew lessons to children in preschool, elementary, middle & high school, young adults in college, and to adults. In addition, I have taught and tutored students with autism, learning disabilities, behavioral problems, and mental health challenges. I often adapted lessons to accommodate their unique individual learning needs and styles and to encourage their "hands on" participation. I facilitated many engaging Hebrew lessons and provided extra support to young and old, gifted, average, and high to low achieving students.
