I have been a trainer for more than twenty years. During my career I have learned that the most important trait a trainer needs is to be a skilled communicator. Every student learns at a different pace or achieves their learning goals through different communication avenues - - digital, auditory, visual, with humor … -- I could go on. I have been a trainer for more than twenty years. During my career I have learned that the most important trait a trainer needs is to be a skilled communicator. Every student learns at a different pace or achieves their learning goals through different communication avenues - - digital, auditory, visual, with humor … -- I could go on. For over two decades I have been able to perfect my communication skills as I have traveled the United States and Canada giving public seminars on graphic design software. Among the software packages I have taught are Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, DreamWeaver and Acrobat. I presented over 2000 seminars and have an evaluation score average of 9.8 out of 10. One of my strengths as a trainer is my ability to cut to the chase and teach you the important things that you must know in order to be proficient in these tools.

There is more to being a great trainer than just communication skills; you also must be an expert in the software. Besides training seminars for Compumaster I have also been a contract trainer for AIM and conducted training classes online via Google HelpOuts. I have taught Photoshop since its inception. I have trained development and design teams at companies such as Cisco, HP, Intel, Lawrence Livermore Labs and Wyeth Pharmaceuticals. Working with graphic designers of all levels of expertise has made me exceptional in communicating with people about these complex tools. I know what you are trying to accomplish, and I can get you there the fastest with great results.

Because tutoring Photoshop is a personal and hands on format of learning, I am available to you in many formats. You can come to my personal studio. You can meet me in a coffee shop, library or other public place that is comfortable to you. I can come to your home or place of business. Or we can conduct the training in an on-line format. Excellent tutor!

Darrin was great! I was very specific as to the one thing I wanted to learn, which I had communicated to him prior to the lesson, and he told me he was sure he could get me there. There was some good back and forth, he monitored me as I practiced what he had taught, and he got me to where I wanted to be. I was also confident that I would be able to continue on after our session. Highly recommended!

Darrin taught me how to remove blemishes using a variety of different methods such as the clone stamp tool, patch tool, and healing brush tool. We worked on an image and that was all we had time for in that hour. Very helpful.

Darrin is teaching me how to apply what I know to create graphics. -And teaching me what I don't know.
