We feel Daniel has been a blessing for our daughter. He has helped her so much. She has her final tomorrow. We have seen great strides with her confidence.
I am glad we found Daniel. I am hoping if she gets into her statistics class that we can use Daniel again. Thank you, Daniel! - The Little's
Daniel made Algebra 2 make sense for my 16 year old. He told be after his last session with Daniel "it clicked, I get it".
I like Daniel very much as a tutor as he possesses all the criteria that I was looking for in a tutor. He makes things simpler and easier to understand. He also makes sure that I am able to make the right answer without explicitly telling me, in other words, he guides me in the right direction in solving a problem.
Daniel was extremely easy to talk to and to understand. He explained things in a simplistic fashion always showing examples. He listened to my needs and walked me through many basic excel functions, formulas, command keys and short cuts. I will definitely call him again for future tutoring needs.
Daniel is an excellent tutor - very knowledgeable, patient and thorough. He explains things well and stays focused and on topic. I have a tendency to jump from one subject to another, but he managed to keep me on track! He's very personable, but maximizes the time we have together. I'm eager to practice what I learned and look forward to my next lesson.
Another great lesson! When helping me with a particular application, Daniel explains how to utilize it's various functions and features. At the same time he explains the bigger picture, so I can begin to grasp the logic of my moves. I find the computer challenging, but Daniel is a pro at deconstructing the mystery of it, so that it begins to make sense.
Dan is an outstanding tutor in every regard, and I recommend him without reservation for students and families of any level or need. Dan is highly skilled and thoroughly professional in his approach yet is unassuming, relaxed, and puts students completely at ease. Consistent and punctual, Dan goes the extra mile to provide the best opportunity for a student to build confidence and succeed. He is quick to determine needs, provides a thorough and comprehensive approach, yet is flexible, accommodating and resourceful to make adjustments when needed. In particular, I appreciate that Dan takes into account the entire picture for a student and has an excellent grasp of the demands of today's educational environment. We could not have asked for a more outstanding situation for our high school son who struggles with algebra and geometry.
Dan is an excellent tutor who has helped my niece tremendously with geometry. Her self confidence has been boosted and she really seems to "get" the material when Dan reviews it with her. He is trustworthy and obviously cares very much about his students and their families. We are fortunate that we were able to find Dan just in the nick of time!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Having completed both a high school and college course in C, I gained a firm understanding of the foundations and logic necessary to write computer programs. From that, I have taught myself to program in VBA, VB and PHP and have written programs both as a hobby and professionally in financial operations. I have written code to calculate mathematical functions, generate Fibonacci numbers, handle position and cash reconciliation, and assist in report generation.
I have been using Apple products for 8 years including iMacs, Macbooks, and iPods. My experience includes administration, backups, creating dual booting systems, disk utility and the basics of the terminal.
I have over 15 years of Excel experience. I've used it for both professional and personal projects. I've written macros, created pivot tables, and everything in between.
