Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Finance

I achieved an MBA with a finance specialization in 2012. My work experience includes bank regulation with a government agency and working in the corporate treasury department of a S&P 500 company. I also passed Level I of the CFA program.

Financial Accounting

My educational experience in accounting includes Financial and Managerial accounting. I also have studied Financial Statement Analysis for the CFA curriculum as I have passed the CFA level one exam. I have work experience in bank accounting while working at a national bank, as well as a third party bank auditor.

Microsoft Excel

I have extensive experience in Excel in both academic and commercial settings. My experience includes Pivot Tables, Data Solver, and ActiveX controls for presentation. My theory is that every spreadsheet should be clear, concise, and user friendly. No Professor, Supervisor, Colleague, or Client wants to spend more than thirty seconds trying to decipher a spreadsheet.

Spanish

I have studied Spanish for many years and have a BA in Latin American Studies. In addition, I passed the California Spanish AP exam.

The Real Word Tutor

David has an ultimate passion for finance to the point where he just does not repeat what is expected in curriculum. He poses questions and answers that go beyond finance, with real world examples. Also, he is patient and beared with me through the connection issues I had. I recommend him to anyone.
