About Camron

I am currently a student at University of California, San Diego where this fall will be my first semester after transferring from Grossmont College. I attended Grossmont College for a three years and had a 4.0 G.P.A in my over 80 units that I have completed. These units include a wide variety of subjects, most of which are math and science classes. I enjoy learning subjects in depth, and being able to enlighten others is my goal. While I am just starting out with tutoring other students besides family members, I plan to take my knowledge of subjects and be able to teach others about this subjects. I want those I tutor to come away not just be able to answer a couple given problems, but be able to understand some of the concepts behind this learning to better prepare the student for any problems they may face.

I specialize in Math, Physics and Computer Sciences. I have taken almost all math classes at Grossmont College, over a years worth of physics classes at Grossmont College, and intro to both C++ and Java at Grossmont College. My math subjects that I have completed and can tutor include Algebra, Precalculus, Calculus, and Differential Equations. My physics experience includes physics dealing with gravity, forces kinematic equations, electricity and thermal physics. Lastly, I can tutor on some of the basics of both Java and C++ computer programming languages including using variables, receiving and displaying output, decision structures, loop structures, arrays, classes and methods. All of my knowledge thus far is run through Command line and created using Netbeans and Visual Studio.

I am a very detail oriented student who has high standards for myself. I am more than willing to put the work in to get what I need and I do more than what is just needed for the grades, but wish to receive an in-depth knowledge of subjects. I want to pass this on to those that I tutor. Whether it be helping with homework problems or studying for a test, I want my students to get the most out their experience. I like my students to come away not just knowing the answers to some assigned problems, but to know why what they are doing works. I am also more than willing to do outside work including making worksheets of sample problems that help my students gain an overall better understanding of the subject and to make them successful in any problem they may face.

I try to be flexible with my times, but I do currently work part-time and attend college full-time. I only work one or two days a week and most my classes end by noon. This leaves the ability to have a large amount of flexibility in my schedule. I do wish to know within a couple hours of the session of cancellations.

I am available to meet at libraries or any place that provides a good tutoring environment of the students choice. I also offer online tutoring.

I have taken Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Precalculus, and Calculus 1 in high school and received a 5 on the AP test for Calculus AB. I have since taken Calculus 2, Calculus 3, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations and Discrete Mathematics at Grossmont College and received A's in all of these classes.

I took one year of Physics of high school and taken three semesters of Physics in college.

I look forward to hearing from you and helping you achieve success in your classes.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
