I met with Sarmad twice, and both times he was so very helpful. He is patient, and he makes sure you understand everything before he moves on. He is kind and understanding. I would definitely recommend him to anyone that needs help with Stats.
Sarmad was very responsive to setting up a tutoring session and was waiting when we arrived. He was very courteous and responsive to my daughter's questions. She felt extremely comfortable asking questions during a math problem when it was not clear and indicated that Mr. Y was patient and explained things in a manner that helped her understand where she was having problems. It was a very successful session and we will utilize Sarmad again. My daughter had a wide range of questions from her first semester Algebra II class and Sarmad was able to help explain and reinforce the concepts, theory and graphing.
Sarmad's explanations are very thorough. He helped to bridge the gap between doing the calculations and understanding what they mean.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
