To me, learning is really about adapting effective learning strategies to the individual and teaching each student to enjoy learning. Then, learning issues can be clarified, evaluated, and resolved. This allows learning to be a fascinating, mind blowing, and interesting experience.

My 9th grade daughter is in Spanish III. There's quite a big difference between Spanish II & III. Marcela made sure she explained the parts my daughter is confused about in an easy to understand way. That night, we also received notes & worksheet. This is the kind of teacher you want when you want to learn anything.
Marcela was able to narrow down what I needed to get done, and helped me complete my task, when I wouldn't have been able to. She also came to me within an hours notice, when I was having a last minute problem on what I was working on. I would highly recommend Marcela to anyone who is having trouble completing a Speech, or essay.
She starts with basic matters and then goes over harder concepts. Since she has a review test for each concept, it is easier for me to learn.
Marcela is patient and punctual, while flexible and understanding. She has been very helpful in tutoring my daughter. She's also a good communicator and clarified the difficult concepts with ease.
We are so lucky to know Marcela through Wyzant. She has been very helpful in tutoring my daughter in many ways including subjects of Biology, Art History and English writing. She is patient, friendly, knowledgeable and organized. We really appreciate her kind assistance to my daughter.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

This tutoring includes essay writing in subject tests in: Contracts, Evidence, Corporations, Civil Procedure, Property law, Wills & Trust; MBE (multistate multiple choice test) practice, and Performance Test essay writing. My background: I am a licensed attorney (CA Bar no. 283092) since 2012, and I received my Juris Doctorate in 2012 from Southwestern Law School.

I have taught Spanish privately for more than 7 years. I have taught students of different ages: from 1st grade to college level.
I particularly enjoy teaching students a new language because it opens them to so many new opportunities. My goal when teaching Spanish is to make it fun, practical, and motivate my students to discover a new culture. I believe the key to learning a language is to understand the culture and history behind that language. In addition, this should be supported by writing, speaking, and listening to the language.
I have tutored writing for over 7 years to High School and College level students with great success. All of my students, no matter their level, have improved their abilities, and their desire to write. I find most of the students I help have difficulty putting their thoughts down on paper, but through a process of asking and answering questions regarding their topic they can get a better grasp of what and how they want to write.
