College of Engineering, UC Davis (Biomedical Engineer)
I am a Biomedical Engineering tutor at UC Davis. I volunteered for 1.5 years at the Women's Resources and Research Center at UC Davis where I tutored math and chemistry. Because learning is predominantly based on trial and error, I prefer using a step by step approach in order to identify possible errors or mistakes. I am excited to help students with subjects they struggle with, and show them that learning is challenging yet intriguing!
I received a 700/800 on my SAT Math Score. I can help students prepare for their SAT Math section, as well as any other exams for which math is required.
Organic Chemistry is my passion! I received all A's in my organic chemistry courses, I took the 118 series, which helps prepare students for the medical school, however I can easily help students in other college organic chemistry series as well.
I speak fluent Greek and French. I have a C1 Certificate from Sorbonne University in French Language and Literature, as well as passed AP French with a 5. I am a native speaker of Greek, having lived in Europe for many years.
Coding is definitely a challenging field that involves a lot of patience and high level thinking. I believe in the approach of trial and error in order to identify possible errors. I received an A in my MATLAB class (ENG 6), as well as used it for my Linear Algebra Class, for which I also received an A. I can help students with any questions they might have.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have taken ENG 17 (Introduction to Circuits) and I achieved a grade of A-. In addition, I was an undergraduate summer scholar at a UCLA electrical engineering lab where I studied sound interference in heart rate detection. This quarter I am taking ENG 100 (Upper division circuits).
I completed my education in Greece until 9th grade. I have also helped my mother, a Greek school instructor in various Greek schools in Southern California, teach her students Greek. In addition to completing various subjects in Greek, from 7th to 9th grade, I was required to take three years of Ancient Greek as part of the school curriculum.
In my MATLAB class we were required to do various projects, as well as complete weekly homework. In addition, in my Linear Algebra class, we had weekly MATLAB homework, as well as were tested on MATLAB commands and applications. I received an A in both classes.
I have completed courses 118A, 118B and 118C in organic chemistry at UC Davis. I have received A's in all courses. Part of our classes included completing successfully labs in order to pass the class.
