I received my Bachelors of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry and a minor in Biological Sciences from the University of California Irvine and I received my Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from the University of California San Francisco. I also completed a one year post-graduate residency training as a civilian with the U.S. Navy at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego and am a board certified pharmacotherapy specialist (BCPS).

I have tutored calculus and organic chemistry in the past in both group settings (8-10 students at a time) and also one-on-one sessions. I have a passion for investing in the next generation and mentoring students who have similar aligned interests because I can impart my experience and wisdom and give students tips for academic success in their future endeavors.

I tutored calculus (specifically first quarter/semester) for 3 years as part of the Learning and Academic Resource Center (LARC) at the University of California Irvine in a group tutoring setting. I created lesson plans to help students understand the material in a methodical manner while also having fun with calculus (e.g. I brought pie for my students on Pi day, 3/14). I understand that students learn in different ways and finding the best path for learning for a student is rewarding.

I graduated from pharmacy school and am a practicing inpatient hospital pharmacist where I use knowledge from pharmacology and therapeutics on a daily basis. I have precepted various students in the past via introductory pharmacy practice experiences (IPPEs) and also advanced pharmacy practice experiences (APPEs). I hope to help train the next generation of clinicians and medical staff to be a valuable asset to our ever changing landscape of healthcare.

I encourage the use of various resources to help foster the learning experience through the WyzAnt tutoring platform. Feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule a lesson.
