Marine has helped me so much with trigonometry in my second semester. It was very easy to get in contact with her and she made it very easy to schedule around her moderately busy schedule. Other than that, her tutoring skills are great! Bring her any type of problem and she will know exactly where to go with it. She makes it all very clear and makes sure I understand everything we work on. She keeps the session on task but she is not too strict or serious like many teachers, which makes it an enjoyable and relaxed experience to tutor with her. She will even help you out with a problem through text, and can explain just as well through texts. She will also not give up on a challenging problem and strives with the student to solve it, even if it takes away from some of her own time. It is easy to tell that she is passionate about the subjects she teaches. My grade last semester was a C+, and is almost an A this semester thanks to Marine. Looking back, this semester was much tougher than last semester in terms of concepts and work load, and Marine made it so much easier for me, even when only meeting up about once a week. Marine is an outstanding tutor who will make a tough class so much easier and even enjoyable!
Marine has an easy going approach and teaching style that put our son at ease. She consistently asks him if he understands the concepts and has him explain the process to her in his own words after finishing a problem. His test scores increased by 2 letter grades after beginning tutoring with Marine.
Marine is a great tutor! She is patient and very attentive to her students. I took marine for statistics and she is very knowledgeable in this field. Take her! I highly recommend you won't find someone like her!
I haven't taken a math class in 16 years and am currently taking Statistics at UCLA. Marine is so wonderful. She makes learning so easy. She explains everything and then it all makes sense. She's clear, concise, kind, and a perfect teacher. She has actually made this terrifying experience really fun. Statistics is really cool if you understand it and Marine makes everything crystal clear. She the best tutor I've ever had.
Highly recommended, well qualified! Her way of teaching is very effective to my daughter and has improved her grades well. It has been a great experience overall.
Marine helped me this past semester with AP Economics and AP Statistics. She was always on time, patient and through with her explanation. With her help, I received A+ in both classes. I will definitely use her again for next semester.
I couldn't have asked for a better Economics tutor! Marine was so patient, and really helped me through problems in a way my professor couldn't. I give her my highest recommendation, and will definitely stay in contact for future tutoring services.
I've had the pleasure of being tutored by Marine for the last 2 months. I can't say enough how wonderful she is, and how patient she has been with all my questions. Statistics is not an easy subject and there's been a lot of frustration in trying to understand the material. Marine has a way of explaining the material in such a way that I actually get it. She breaks down the information in a language that I understand because the material is incredibly difficult to comprehend. Thank you with all my heart Marine - you have been instrumental in getting me through this class. Your calm and sweet nature has made this process very painless. I am truly grateful. My Best to you.
Marine is a very great and patient tutor. After just a couple sessions I understood things in math that I never understood before. She is a great person to tutor with and a very nice person as well. I enjoy having Marine tutor me and look forward to more great sessions with her.
Wonderful tutor! She is really smart and knows how to share her knowledge with her students, and she makes sure her students understand. She's always available for any follow up questions through just a simple email or phone call. An overall great teacher!
Marine is creative in the way she helps me learn and she makes learning really fun for me! I have improved my skills dramatically since working with her in just two sessions.
Easy to communicate... Very nice too. Teaches well and makes things easy. She is patient. She is also on time and arranges a good working schedule.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I took 2 Econometrics courses as an Undergraduate students at UCI, and received my bachelors degree upon completing the courses. I have been tutoring the subject since then for about 3 years. Also,I took 3 more quarters of Economics at UCSB as part of My Masters degree curriculum. I have tutored undergraduate and graduate students in Econometrics.
Also, I used Econometrics in my research projects.
