Università degli Studi Firenze (Psychology)
I love teaching because it allows me to help students learn and I get to watch them grow. It has been an amazing experience teaching and tutoring in Italy for the last 5 years. While living there I taught private English lesson to groups of student from pre K to 8th grade as well as tutoring. My background in teaching goes back to my last year of high school when I took classes for becoming an assistant preschool teacher.
The experience teaching preschoolers was very helpful when I was teaching English to students in Italy as it help me understand what was the best way to teach them. With young children it is not so must the language that matters but how it is introduced to them and how the teacher keeps their attention. Older student in middle school that I tutored I spend more time helping them structure their skills for speaking, writing and listening.
I have a TEFL certification and accommodations for grammar, teaching business English, and teaching English to young learners
I have a certification from the Università deli studi di Firenze for foreigners with my levels of proficiency in Italian as well as attending the University as a regular student. In order to be admitted to the university I had to pass the same entrance exam as every other Italian student. In addition all of my classes at the university were all taught in Italian.
I would love to pass on the knowledge that I have obtained to you or to someone that you know. I love teaching because it allows me to help students learn and I get to watch them grow. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
