Hello, my name is Gabby and I am an Educational Specialist with a Master's Degree in Education. I work with students with a wide range of needs from reading to writing to executive functioning. I have worked as a reading specialist for more than six years and I am trained on numerous reading programs and methodologies. Also, I hold a a Certification in Composition which allows me work with students of all grades up through college on writing skills. What I believe I do best is work with students to discover how they best learn and then teach them how to address any given educational material accordingly. Additionally, I teach fundamental study skills, critical thinking and reasoning and executive function management. My strong belief is that a true educator comes to understand the way each individual student learns and then empowers them to utilize these strengths to learn to work effectively. I show students new techniques that they can absolutely incorporate with ease and help them to see that they can accomplish things that at once seemed profoundly daunting to them. I am incredibly passionate and positive, use a lot of creative modalities and games for younger students, and have enjoyed and continue to enjoy a great deal of success with my students.

For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
