I mentor aspiring engineers, scientists, entrepreneurs, and doctors who are motivated to learn how to think. I received my BS and MBA from the University of Notre Dame in 2004, and my Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Caltech in 2012.

Over the past decade, I have mentored students who have gone onto thrive at MIT, Princeton, Dartmouth,

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Between college and graduate school, I took 7 years of calculus and related subjects I have 3 years of experience tutoring advanced math - calculus and beyond.

I use advanced math 5 to 20 times a year in my career. Calculus in particular is helpful with designing cleantech and biotech instrumentation, and predicting its performance.

I am a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Caltech. Over the past decade, I have mentored students who have gone onto thrive at MIT, Princeton, Dartmouth, Stanford, and the University of Chicago, amongst other top-tier universities

I have broad expertise in chemistry. I have studied all of the sub-disciplines (i.e., physical, analytical, organic) in depth, and I have years of experience tutoring introductory and general chemistry.

Professionally, I have used chemistry to develop a proprietary wastewater reclamation method, and to develop medical devices for early detection of dangerous bacteria.

Most of my clients for differential equations have been taking introductory courses that focus on ordinary differential equations, and commonly the problems they work are linear and first order. I have also worked with clients on second order ordinary differential equations, and special cases where nonlinear equations have unique solutions. My favorite topics are partial differential equations, and I help clients learn numerical and analytical (i.e., separation of variables) techniques.

I am an expert in using linear algebra to solve systems of equations. I have worked with clients who are new to matrix math, all the way to advanced graduate students who are working with eigenvalues and eigenvectors, and higher order tensors. Most of my linear algebra clients are taking engineering classes that rely heavily on both linear algebra and differential equations.

I have experience with using MATLAB for linear algebra, differential equations, regression analysis, error analysis, and simulation. I am experienced with mentoring clients who are new to programming, and need support as they learn the basics of writing scripts and debugging. I fit best with students who are using Matlab as a tool for engineering courses (undergraduate and graduate).

Improving your score on the SAT requires more than simple practice; you need to target where the test designers' tricks are disproportionately damaging your scores.

We will work together to quickly diagnose where the tricks are hurting you the most, and to prioritize where you focus your studies. We will take your 600 to a 700, and your 750 to an 800.
