I'm a filmmaker and lifelong storyteller with more than a decade of experience creating content across a wide array of styles and mediums — short films, feature-length screenplays, advertising materials for the web, educational materials, press releases, print news stories, and much more.

In terms of my training, I attended the top Film & TV Production program in the world — USC's School of Cinematic Arts. During this extremely rigorous three-year MFA program, I learned a professional approach to filmmaking through hundreds of hours of collaborative writing and prep sessions as well as lectures and direct insight from highly successful Hollywood filmmakers. Most importantly, I had a chance to work on dozens of film projects, including several which I wrote and directed.

Before pursuing my dream of becoming a filmmaker, I earned my undergraduate degree in journalism, which allowed me to hone my craft as a writer and storyteller. I have authored and edited hundreds of pages of content, and worked one-on-one with writers to help them improve their craft.

Now I'm looking to share my knowledge with young aspiring storytellers who are eager to learn how to take the ideas in their head and transform them into a completed works they can share with the world. As your tutor, I will first and foremost seek to understand YOUR unique goals — what you hope to learn and what you want to create. Then together, we will develop a highly customized and cohesive plan with concrete steps to help you achieve your goals. When it comes to instruction, I believe in providing my students with "tools" they can use to help guide their decisions throughout their career, rather than rigid "rules" they feel they must follow in specific situations.

I have written and directed several short films, including my thesis project "Deliver Us," which has screened at several festivals across the united states. I have extensive hands-on experience with all aspects of film production, from producing, to writing and directing, to casting, to sound and cinematography, as well as picture and sound editing.

I have worked on dozens of productions, with hands-on experience in virtually every major role — producing, directing, casting, cinematography, editing, and sound. In terms of video editing, I have advanced skills with Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, and AVID Media Composer, so I can teach you the basics of importing, organizing, and editing footage, as well as show you the various tools within each editing program, to help speed up your editing process. In terms of Audio Editing, I have advanced skills with ProTools, so I can teach you the art of dialogue editing, tricks to cleaning up noisy audio and dialogue, and I can show you how to build and design sound FX, soundscapes.

If you need help with your Mac, look no further! I have been working on Apple computers since the days of G5s and Mac OS9 (aka many decades ago). I have owned and worked on all major types of Macs (Mac Pros, iMacs, Macbooks, Mac Minis, iPads, and iPhones). I'm an expert in all things Mac — from core applications (like iMovie, iPhoto, iCalendar, and GarageBand), to MacOS functions and troubleshooting, and much more.
