I facilitate learning for each of my student at their pace, making sure they become independent as soon as they feel comfortable with the subject matter.
My experience includes teaching at private schools, charter schools and home schooled students.
I also ran a tutoring center for home schooled children, where I was the teacher instead of the parent. This was an excellent opportunity for me to master differentiating instruction. I am certified as a GATE Master teacher from UCI. I also have a diploma in teaching children with Dyslexia from UK.
Teaching for me is a passion and not a job. I believe in every child's ability to learn. As a tutor I need to find the tools that can help each student to master the necessary skills.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I was certified in UK to teach students with dyslexia. Dyslexia is a learning disorder characterized by difficulty in reading. Dyslexia occurs in children with normal vision and intelligence. The earlier students are given help the easier it becomes for them to deal with the challenges of reading and writing.
My experience with students with Dyslexia has been rewarding because the difference I made in their ability to learn to read and spell. The task has been challenging for the students but if given the right tools and strategies to decode, spell and work with word segments (syllabification), students feel empowered and are ready to at least try. This method is successful with all students, not only with students identified as Dyslexic.
My students succeed in school with the help and assistance provided during one on one tutoring session. I never rush my students but my goal remains that I provide the support and help them to become independent as early as possible. I also believe in providing emotional support as it plays an important role in the student's success. Students with dyslexia require a patient and committed teacher which my students and their parents always found me to be.

Language Arts Reading, Writing and Vocabulary is essential for success in school. The ability to read comes with phonemic awareness and repetition with sound blends. Students excel in reading when they gain confidence with their ability to read and comprehend. The strategy to improve mastery of a language is extensive word building skill, vocabulary, decoding, word analyses and reading.
Paraphrasing and writing help with comprehension and is a skill that is built gradually particularly with emergent readers. Every child can read and write with special attention and help.
I have had extensive training and experience teaching reading and phonics. I work with students to help concepts about print, phonological awareness, alphabetics and word/print recognition, comprehension and ability to analyze. I facilitate students with their ability to decode words and to apply the alphabetic principle to word recognition.
I am trained as a teacher for dyslexic students. The methodology can be utilized with modification to teach reading to all students. I have found the technique very beneficial to all students and not only dyslexic students.
