As a 4th year medical student waiting for residency placement, I feel that I am fairly qualified to tutor in many subjects. I've been tutoring students in Math, Biology, Chemistry, Physics for over 10 years with great success. Even throughout medical school I found time to tutor students especially since my students wanted to keep me around. My high school freshman was extremely challenged by geometry and after the first month of school had a D average. This is pretty significant for a close-to-straight-A student. Qais is a talented tutor who helped my daughter raise her grade to a B well before the end of the first semester. In addition to the respectable grade in geometry, her confidence increased and she was invited into the honor society - something that would not have otherwise been possible. We are very happy with Qais as a tutor.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
