About Ibrahim

I'm a graduate from San Diego State University with two honors for my academic rigor. Tutoring and doing extra curricular activities on campus and off was what I enjoyed doing on my free time in between and after classes. My major is called International Security and Conflict Resolution (ISCOR), so I took a multitude of different classes from different disciplines making me sharp in many fields.

I like to surf on my free time or relax at home and write. I have a great sense of humor and know how to make work fun at the same time while attaining results. I've tutored the Arabic language and loved every minute of it. Watching students go from stressed to smiling by the end of the session is my favorite part of the whole exchange.

I've studied Arabic for 4 years or 8 semesters, and my dad's side of the family speaks it as well. With those combined I not only know how to speak Arabic well, but I know how to read and write it too. I tutored Arabic for 2 years.

On my WPA exam I scored a 10 and I've attained very good grades in English my whole college career. I've written countless essays in either MLA, Chicago or APA format of citation. Just about every one of my essays get no less than a 90%.

ISCOR requires me to know about government and politics of the world, World History, and Political Science theories and be able to apply them to current and past events to analyze conflict and how to resolve it. I'm very knowledgeable about all of these subjects since it is my specialization.

I'm a very flexible person who checks his emails everyday and responds respectively. I'm free generally from morning until the evening but I'm willing to change up my schedule for the student's needs. I take much pride and joy in helping students to succeed since that's what I needed when I was in school and it helped a lot.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or if you'd just like to get to know me a little more. I have a car and am able to meet anywhere that makes you or the student comfortable. Hope to hear from you soon!

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Arabic

I've studied formal Arabic in college for all four years and have been exposed to the language since I was born. I've also tutored Arabic at Diablo Valley College so I already have experience in teaching it. I received A's in all of my classes so I am certain I am qualified to tutor the Arabic language.

Economics

I took about four classes in Economics, all of which I have at least gotten a B in. It's a fairly tough subject to master, but I understand the basics of it and can help others understand it as well. I took an Economics course at George Mason University in the Summer, where they have the best Economics program in the country.

English

English is my first language and I received the highest score on my WPA exam, which is an exam you take as a Junior in College to figure out if your English skills satisfy the requirement to graduate. I received no less than a solid B in every essay I've written and most of the time received an A. I find writing styles to be fun and interesting and like to help others develop their own.

Government & Politics

Government and Politics also play an important role in my major. I know about the Conduct of American Foreign Relations and was a Teachers Aide in that class. Furthermore I interned in Washington D.C. in the summer and learned a lot about how the capital works.

Political Science

Political Science is a sister discipline to my major and a major component of it. I've received an A in every critical thinking and theory essay I've had to write in college so I'm confident in my abilities to tutor. I also was a Teacher's Aide to one of my professors Ron Bee, in a class called Conduct in American Foreign Relations.

Prealgebra

I've studied up to Algebra II and am proficient in Pre-Algebra concepts. I've helped siblings of friends in the subject and will have no problem helping others. I've done more advanced math in my Economics classes so I'm confident that in my ability to teach others.

World History

I've read plenty of books relating to the history of many nations especially the Middle East. There's a lot of information I can offer and even references. World History serves as a crucial aspect and reference to current conflicts around the world, a subject I specialize in.
