My philosophy is strongly based on constructivism which I believe that learning and achieving is best made easier by inspiring instructor who is organized as well as efficient at involving, planning and getting students to both learn how to learn effectively and to think critically.
As a faculty member working in the academic field, I have the most extreme confidence that every individual is and should be able to make great efforts for success to produce high academic performance. To acknowledge it, I should make the most of my resources to promote progress by providing creativeness environment, emphasizing the utmost importance of education as well as providing as much as I can to my students the independence of thinking to help them to identify an ability to discover knowledge. My perception led me to believe that every student is unequaled and important that they should be allowed to express their opinion, ideas and suggestions freely which will be taken into account.
To be a successful teacher, it is better care about the students as individuals in term of their academic and personal welfare by carrying out paternalistic approach rather than autocratic teaching. I will take care and pride in my teaching of them, care as well as paying meticulous attention to the material that I teach and motivating the students to bring the best out of them. If the students are not convinced or interested of the importance of the material and its real-world applicability then they are less likely to be interested in making the commitment necessary to learning that material in sufficient depth and breadth. I strongly believe that this way of my teaching are of the essence towards structural planning and creating highly comprehensive lessons that will greatly benefit everyone in the long run. Establishing a good rapport with the students must be based on genuine enthusiasm for the course material and for teaching of that material to the students. Like good medical care, teaching is a deeply interpersonal interaction, computers and other instructional technology may enhance it, but they will never supplant.
Like every professional instructor, I aim to teach and practice in professional manner and as a result it will help me radiate good leadership skills for the students. The basic human connection between teacher and student is an essential part of teaching and through that system I should be able to attend to my students’ personal and academic needs whenever required. Also importantly, I will create a stable and ultimately a comfortable learning atmosphere based on enjoy, respect and freedom learning instead of restriction and fear. For me to successfully achieve that, I have to create strong and understanding relationship with my students so that they are given an opportunity learn in a conducive and enjoyable environment. Furthermore, being a teacher I must care about how well I am carrying out the responsibilities of being instructor in the learning process. The teacher should not only set high standards and expectations for the students but must also apply those same higher standards to myself. Likewise communication is an effective tool for quality teaching and learning process in the academic setting.
As a teacher, one of my roles would be to coach and facilitate my students throughout the learning process by providing information and giving useful guidelines in order for them to achieve their learning target. In order to fully describe how I attempt to achieve the forgoing goals in my teaching, I must identify the mechanics of how I teach. In all of my courses, I try to include or emphasize the following: (a)making the instruction as personal as possible.(b) keeping students informed at all times of expectations, assignments, exams and deadline and finally(c) having the students demonstrate their understanding of material and their problem solving skills.
I will be very resourceful which will help me gain success as well as self satisfaction in educating students knowing that I have everything ready at disposal to teach. My philosophy is strongly based on constructivism which I believe that learning and achieving is best made easier by inspiring instructor who is organized as well as efficient at involving, planning and getting students to both learn how to learn effectively and to think
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
