I also earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Genetics from the University of California, Davis. I absolutely love helping students understand concepts and complete their homework assignments with a good grasp of the material, especially in Math (algebra, geometry SAT Math, etc).

I've also had experience with tutoring as I've helped my friends, family members, classmates, and other peers in many different subjects and I've been a tutor on Wyzant before in the past. I live in Concord, CA but I'm willing to tutor students in the Clayton/Pleasant Hill/Walnut Creek/Antioch area as well as other further places (depends where though). I am also very open and willing to do online tutoring due to the current COVID-19 conditions.

I hope you choose me as your tutor. I'm very patient, always well-prepared, and I love explaining things to people. Please contact me via email if you're interested. Thank you!

(**For pharmacy students, I can also tutor to help with pharmacy school exams and the state board exams (NAPLEX + CPJE)**)

For the maths, I took Pre-Algebra in 7th grade (got an A), Algebra 1 in 8th grade (got an A), Geometry in 9th grade (got an A), Advanced Algebra 2 with Trig in 10th grade (got an A), Honors Pre-Calculus in 11th grade (got an A), and AP Statistics in 12th grade (got a B). In college I took a year of Calculus (As) and a Statistics course (B+). For the sciences, I took Honors Chemistry (A), Biology (A), and Honors Physics (A) in high school. As a current Genetics major at UC Davis, I've taken many, many science-related classes including a year of Chemistry and Organic Chemistry.
Biology,

Biology

I am qualified to tutor Biology because I've had a lot of experience with it. I am a Genetics major and this major requires a lot of Biology related classes of which I have gotten good grades. In fact, my Biology professor sent me an email after the class was over that said I would qualify to tutor Biology at my University.

I love Linear Algebra. I've taken Advanced Algebra in middle school as well as Advanced Algebra with Trig in high school and have gotten an A in both. In college, I've also taken a year of Calculus which explores many of the concepts relating to Linear Algebra and I also received an A. I am good at explaining this subject and I've helped many family members and friends with homework assignments in Algebra.

Genetics,

Genetics

I am a Genetics major at the University of California: Davis. I am very passionate about Genetics and many people have come to me with questions about certain concepts in Genetics. I've also taken many courses that discuss the ideas behind Genetics in great depth. Although this subject can be difficult, I always do my best to patiently and slowly explain a concept until a student is able to understand it well.
Organic Chemistry,

Organic Chemistry

I've taken a year of Organic Chemistry at my University, and have gotten good grades in each course. I like drawing the chemical structures and explaining why and how certain reactions occur. However, I think I would be better at explaining the basics of Organic Chemistry as I have indicated on my tutoring profile.

Helped a lot

Marianne refreshed me on some trig I needed for a survey class. It’s been a few years since I’ve taken trig and she helped me a lot getting back up to speed. I forgot the basics of the sine and cosine function which she helped reteach me.
