Fassil is a great tutor, we have had two appointments so far each lasting two hours and they were worth more than every penny. He is very patient, explains the questions very well and walks through the formula step by step as I need, all while explaining why the steps in the formula are neccessary. We also made alist of my weak points so I know what to watch out for on tests. A good example of how these past two tutoring appointments have helped me is that on my second statistics test at solano community college I recieved 31% my teacher allows everyone else in the class one chance to retake a test, after the tutoring I felt much more confident in my knowledge and I recieved 85% my grade in the class has increased drastically.
He is very patient and makes learning fun. He is an invaluable resource for my kids over the long term and also just before exams. He's great at getting to the heart of concepts and helping my kids think for themselves.
Fassil was a wonderful tutor for my upper division college Probability and Statistics course. Very knowledgeable and thorough, Fassil was also patient with me and took the time to make sure I understood the material. My course grade improved and I felt much more comfortable with the subject matter after our tutoring sessions. I highly recommend Fassil's services.
Fassil was my tutoring partner this past quarter for an Inferential Statistics course. The curriculum was intense and I was exposed to the SPSS software for the first time as well as new concepts, which would require immediate application.
Fassil was patient, skilled, and an invaluable resource to me as I navigated the course. I would highly recommend his services and will be engaging his expertise when I complete the advanced course along the same lines.
A great tutor!
In just three sessions, Fassil was able to clear up a ton of confusion that has been building all year! My only regret is that we did not find him earlier in the year. He is very calm and patient and really helped decrease the overall level of anxiety and frustration.
Fassil stepped in to help my son with College level Calc II. It was a course that he had to pass to complete his transfer to UCSD. It was very stressful but Fassil worked with him patiently and effectively. We are happy to say that our son passed and will be attending UCSD in the Fall! We are very grateful to Fassil for the expert help and highly recommend him! Thanks Fassil!
Fassil has worked with both of our sons over the years on higher division math. He manages to make both the subject understandable and fun. I know they enjoy the time spent with him and we appreciate the results!
I felt that it would have been more helpful if you had me do the problems while you watched and then corrected me as we went along.
As usual, I felt like I understood while listening and watching, but then didn't really get it the next day on my exam.
Thanks for your help though.
My son was in a panic and needed to do well on his statistics final so we needed someone on short and could make our son feel comfortable. Fassil established a rapport with our son and was able to explain the school material in a very supportive and positive manner. He was able to dedicate 8 hours under time constraints. We would recommend Fassil to any parent seeking help for their child.
My son was VERY reluctant to have tutoring, he pouted and grumbled about it at every opportunity. Following his first session he was sold! He LOVED it and felt great to be understanding his work. Way to go Fassil!
Fassil is a very kind and patient person, and an excellent tutor. He comes to our house and is very flexible with his schedule. We appreciate him very much!
Fassil, the greatest Tutor. Fassil know's the subject matter and presents the matter in a very concise manner. Fassil was always on time and very dependable.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
