Hi! My name is Beverly. I'm currently an animal trainer at the Long Island Aquarium. I recently graduated from college where I was a biology, genetics, environmental science, and ecology tutor. I personally know how important and useful tutoring can be. Helping students learn and understand science is one of my favorite things to do. Helpful hints, positive reinforcement, and humor are my favorite ways to help topics stick. Message me for any more details and I'd be happy to help in anyway I can. Hi! My name is Beverly. Beverly helped my daughter to ace her regents biology exam! This I thought was exceptional, especially since they only started to meet towards the end of the school year. Beverly was reliable, and very relatable with her teaching methods. I would highly recommend her!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
