I love languages! I am currently a Spanish teacher and I taught French at the HIgh School level, including AP and IB. I have lived in Mexico City, and in Lyon, France. I have also studied Italian in Florence. I have a 100 hr certificate in ESL, and I have taught in China, and also here in Roseville. I also know how to prepare students for the TOFEL test. I have a very interactive and conversational style that helps students to retain vocabulary and concepts easily.

Reed was a fabulous tutor for my 15 year old son for Spanish 3 in high school. He learned a lot and had a fun time too. She was super helpful to motivate him and to learn the assignments and also practice conversational Spanish. I feel like my son was really lucky to have Reed last semester. I am sure that if you want a great tutor, you would really like her too.
Reed is very helpful and patient. She is ready to cooperate and answer my questions. We spent a very useful time going through the TOEFL speaking section. Also she taught me a lot of stuffs that I didn't know before.
We are interested in learning conversational French for traveling abroad. Reed personalizes our sessions and works to make it fun so we don't quit. She is great and we recommend her as a language tutor for all age groups.
My son and I had an awesome experience with Mrs. Reed as our Spanish teacher. She knows the language very well, and has a fun way of teaching it. She has a way of teaching that is both engaging and effective. We saw her for a few months, and were surprised that we were speaking Spanish. We plan on starting the lessons again as soon as school starts. I highly recommend Mrs. Reed as a Spanish teacher/tutor!
Very clear, focused and interesting. She is very patient and nice person. My wife feel she is really learning fast with her.
Reed was very patient and helped my kids review for their Spanish II exam. I would recommend Reed if you need help learning Spanish!
Reed responded quickly to our request for help with Spanish and was able to cover the subjects our daughter needed to review in a friendly and efficient manner. She even had tips that made the learning fun and easier! She is an excellent tutor and we recommend her highly.
For anybody interested in helping their child to better grasp Spanish and achieve a better overall grade, Reed is the tutor for you. My son is a highly motivated, AP student, yet he was struggling in his Spanish 3 class and becoming frustrated. His grade was slipping as was his self confidence. That's when Reed came into our lives. With her one on one, her patience, and her engaging way, she not only got my son through the class and lifted his grade but gave him his self confidence back. I would highly recommend Reed to any parent, as for me, my daughter is going into Spanish 3 next semester. Reed is on my speed dial. Thank you Reed, you are awesome!
Reed helped both my children with their foreign language classes. My daughter is a sophomore and taking French 2, and my son who is a junior and taking Spanish 3. She met with both of them consecutively on many Saturday mornings and each time helped them supportively and enthusiastically. My daughter is pretty shy and self-conscious about asking for help. Reed worked so well with her; it really made a huge difference. She has a great manner with both my kids and adjusts to fit their needs.
During the short span of time that I have been learning French under the tutelage of Reed, I find her to be dedicated, practical, creative and knowledgeable in her methods of teaching French.
Reed G. is a fantastic tutor!!! My son has never been so inspired to learn before. We highly recommend her.
I would love to continue my lessons once again and when I do I will see Reed. She is very knowledgeable about the language and how to communicate once in that Country.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
