I have been tutoring for almost 3 years, I started with my friends and discovered a passion for it. Since then I have been able to help many students understand, learn and conquer a variety of subjects which have allowed them to be successful in their career path. I have taught most college level introductory math courses such as college algebra, statistics and finite math, as well and high school and middle school level math courses. I have a B.S. in Finance therefore I am drawn to numbers in different levels which has allowed me to help some students with finance and accounting related courses as well. I am have been blessed with the gift of being fully bilingual in Spanish and English which gives me the opportunity to help even more people by teaching them a different language.

I enjoy tutoring because I know I am making a positive impact in someone's life by finding ways to help them gain as much knowledge as possible in the subjects I am more passionate about. In today's constantly evolving world the need for individually tailored teaching methods is as important as ever to ensure a student's success. I pride myself in giving my students the right resources, the most personalized teaching experience and life long tools that will help them be successful not only in the subjects I teach, but in their entire career path. As a tutor I am able to work with students on a one on one basis which allows me to really get to know their personalities, their strengths, weaknesses and above all their potential, in order to guide it in the right direction.

I was fortunate to have been exposed to many different teaching methods throughout my childhood and teenage years which gave me the ability to adapt to different learning experiences. Math is considered one of those subjects which people think you are naturally good at or not, but I discovered that it is not true. In my elementary and secondary school days I wasn't an A+ math student at all, I believed that it was just the one subject I was just not good at, but when I started college everything changed. I went the non traditional route and finished most of my degree through an online program. I was terrified at first when I enrolled in my first math class at the college level, I thought I was going to fail or barely pass it and it was very stressful. As the course started and the professor gave us assignments, resources and advice I started feeling more confident. I was once again exposed to a different learning experience which helped me discover what worked for me and what didn't. That has given me the ability to identify the different learning methods and find the right one for each of my students.

I had a great advantage growing up because I went to school in the US and also in Mexico for a few years throughout my elementary and secondary years. Those experiences allowed be to learn both languages and fluently read, write, and speak them. I gained a special set of skills that allows me to properly translate in either direction via writing or in conversation. It is something I feel helps me when putting my tutoring skills to practice.

I am ready to continue helping as many students as I can with my knowledge and skills. I have a very flexible schedule and can accommodate to different time zones and schedules. Please feel free to reach out with any questions about my experience, availability, and to schedule a lesson. Thank you and I am excited to start this journey with y'all.
