Bio

My love of teaching comes from a lifelong love of learning. I have had the privilege of working with many students over the years, and recognize that building a student-teacher relationship in which both feel comfortable is one of the keys to a student's success. My love of teaching comes from a lifelong love of learning. I have had the privilege of working with many students over the years, and recognize that building a student-teacher relationship in which both feel comfortable is one of the keys to a student's success. I find it is important that a student understands the material and is confident that the teacher they are working with understands the material as well. As such, I am a quick learner and am able to pick up any subject and teach it to another.
I specialize in tutoring math as well as test prep, but am also familiar with many other subjects as well. I feel confident in my skills and knowledge in all subject areas. I have had several years of experience not only teaching in a classroom setting but working as a tutor in both private and agency settings. I feel comfortable with working with students of all ages and grade levels, and have worked with several students with special needs as well. I have worked in a variety of educational settings over the course of my career. I have taught at multiple high schools as well as alternative settings for students returning to school to obtain their diploma. Additionally, I also have worked and taught in elementary and middle school classrooms as well. In terms of tutoring, I worked for a tutoring company both as a tutor as well as director of education. While I worked for this company I worked with students as young as 4 to adults, teaching reading as well as other subjects.
