Get the help you need with English, Math, Science, and more from elementary school to college level. I had the unique experience of tutoring for four years in Japan. This experience has provided me with the ability to seek different ways to get a concept across to students. If one way doesn't work, I look for another way. When my children were in elementary school, I was a regular classroom volunteer. In that setting, I helped children learn to read and do math. Studying with other people is a great way to reinforce classroom learning. In college, I often had a study group, in fact, in some of my classes, other students asked to be in my study group.

I can also help you with your computer. Learn to use Microsoft Windows and Office in a quiet, comfortable setting with no pressure. I have an MBA and over 16 years of experience using MS Office and Windows in an office setting. My co-workers in every company for which I have worked came to me when they couldn't figure out how to do something in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. I can also teach you to use QuickBooks. I will teach you to use a computer and the software in short, concise lessons, or in a half-day or whole-day session. You will do the "driving" and I will be there to assist you. We can start with the basics, or we can jump to what you need to learn. It's up to you!

Throughout my adult life, I have endeavored to do my best and get the highest grades I could in college, achieve the most I could in my professional life, and be the best person I could be in my personal life. In graduate school, I earned a GPA of 3.58 while working full time. I could not have achieved all of this if I didn't have great study skills. I learned early on that study groups were invaluable for preparing for exams and for working on group projects. Other students in my classes often asked to be in my study group. It also helped to be very organized.

Science is very fascinating to me. I was blessed to have had an excellent biology teach in high school. He set up the most memorable science experiments for us. For example, in the middle of winter in Idaho, he ordered live frogs for us, which we, in lab groups, caused to lay eggs which we fertilized and watched develop under microscopes. In the intervening years, there have been so many exciting advances in biology. Let's study about them together!

She Knows Her Math

Evan reported that Linda knew the math issues well and was able to communicate them to him. So far, so good. Will know more after a few more tutoring sessions.

ROBERT, 25 lessons with Linda

knowledgable, flexible and focused

Linda is knowledgable about all aspects of the SAT's and the new requirements. She focuses on what areas need improvement, instead of overwhelming the student with too much information. My daughter is learning study habits and test taking skills that will also help her in her classes at school.

Melissa, 22 lessons with Linda

Patient and Accomodating

Our son has been with Linda for over a year and in that time she was able to contribute to his spelling and reading improvements, which were the main focus. For a 2nd grader it was fun to go to tutoring because there was a rewards system based on the work that was done. Ben always came home with a "prize." Linda was very patient and very kind, so it made for a nice experience each week.

Benjamin, 62 lessons with Linda

Knowledgeable and patient tutor

Linda uses different approaches to find what works best for me. She is tutoring me in math and reading for the SAT. She prepares lessons ahead of time to help me prepare for the SAT.

Sherri, 26 lessons with Linda

Patient Help with Computers

I am not very computer literate and Linda was very patient in helping me understand how to accomplish the downloading of pictures from Galaxy and cell phone to main computer and external hard drive. She was very knowledgeable. I will definitely use her services again. Thank you.

Jim, 3 lessons with Linda

Very patient and helpful

Linda teaches AP-world history to my daughter. My daughter is really happy with the way she explains her the stuff. I highly recommend her.

samandeep, 6 lessons with Linda

Very Knowledgeable and kind to work with

She taught my daughter preparedness for kindergarten. My daughter is getting prepared for her next step and we are very happy with her.

Adam, 13 lessons with Linda

Lifesaver

Help me through a confusing Quickbooks dilemma. She is patient and easy to get along with. Linda was able to work with my schedule so we could meet at a time and a place that was good for me.

Tammy, 1 lesson with Linda

Great Personality and very easy to get along with.

I was in desperate need of getting my QuickBooks straightened out so I could do my end of quarter stuff. I'm new to QuickBooks so I was having some challenges with Deposits and Customer Crediting. I have a new version Linda was not familiar with but because she has the overall QuickBooks knowledge she was able to fix it for me. And I was able to learn what I had been doing wrong while watching her. Will definitely use her again in the future.
