Hello! My name is Raeanne, but I go by Rae. I am currently in graduate school studying Speech-Language Pathology and have a love for tutoring. Over the last 10 years I have been tutoring off and on in-person as well as online. My undergraduate degree is in Exercise Physiology and have developed a love for science. During my undergrad career, I began tutoring local junior hight and high school students in the community and felt like I was really making a difference. Since then I have worked as an Emergency Department Technician/Phlebotomist, and Registered Behavior Technician until most recently attending grad school. My years of experience tutoring has given me a good understanding of how others learn which has helped me strive to be able to teach to different learning styles. This was most apparent when working with autistic children in a school setting and as a Registered Behavior Technician providing ABA therapy. My favorite things to tutor are math and reading, but I have experience tutoring a variety of science courses as well. Within my current program I have developed a love for teaching children how to read and increase their skills where they may be struggling! I might be all over the place with what I love to tutor, but I am well organized with personalized sessions to meet the needs of each of my students individually. Please reach out if you are interested in potentially working together! I look forward to getting to know you!

My love for math helps me to make sessions engaging and fun for my students. I have a strong understanding of mathematical concepts so I am able to pinpoint what areas my students might be struggling to best assist their needs. My sessions include not only demonstrations of how to do the problems, but extra practice to ensure understanding. I also always try to incorporate good study habits and academic organization skills for students to use in the future. By the end of the session, I expect my students to be able to walk me through a concept or example problem to prove the

Organized and thoughtful

Rae is very organized. She starts the lesson with a plan that she shares in terms of the items they will cover and then a math game to finish off the class with. She has a very nice manner with my son, trying to get to know him better. She covers the topics with patience and knowledge.
