I obtained my Master degree in Physics and PhD degree in Optics. My main area of scientific interests are in photonics i.e. science about control of light. It include lasers, optical waveguides, plasmonics, biomedical applications and material
I worked mainly in academia as well as in military and high-tech industry. My teaching credentials include teaching in different universities including Columbia University, New York, New York.
I like tutoring because it gives the opportunity one-to-one contact. Teaching in big audience does not bring such opportunity and office hours can not compensate this.
I love math from my childhood. I attended a special school with special attention to Math and Physics and I won several competitions for school students. I obtained the degree in physics and mathematics is a backbone of physics. For my PhD project I used advanced math approaches in addition to my experimental and technological. I speak seven languages but mathematics is one of my languages too.
I have Master and PhD degree in physics area, I am working in physics area for more than 25 years. I published more than 50 papers in leading peer-reviewed physical journals. I have a deep knowledge of physics not only from textbooks but from the front lines of modern physics. I like physics very much and I like very much when my students like physics too. Physics is very exciting and interesting subject, you just need to see it.
I helped many students having problems in math and physics. I am a professional in these areas and I know how to solve problems. These subjects are not scary or boring; it is just necessary to find a right approach. I obtained my Master degree in Physics and PhD degree in Optics. My main area of scientific interests are in photonics i.e. science about control of light. It include lasers, optical waveguides, plasmonics, biomedical applications
I've had 3 sessions with Ildar and I've learned more in these few short weeks than I have in years of study and playing on my own. Ildar is very aware of what I need and gives it to me in perfect doses. I highly recommend him to anyone who wants to improve their game and broaden their knowledge base. He loves chess and his passion is infectious and inspiring
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am a FIDE master with USCF rating 2332. I am a competitive chess player with deep knowledge of chess at high level. I have an experience of teaching chess for both children and adults.
I was teaching two material science courses in Columbia University (New York, New York): MSAE3142 "Processing of polymers and ceramics" and MSAE 4250 "Ceramics and composites" as an Adjunct Assistant Professor during four semesters in 2010-2011. In both courses I devoted a significant part of my course to chemical and physical properties of polymers. One of my lectures in the MSAE 3142 course was devoted completely to the parts of organic chemistry necessary for this course. Certainly, I was returning to organic chemistry during the course again and again. It is just simply impossible, in my opinion, to teach polymer course without of using organic chemistry! I believe that I am very well qualified to teach organic chemistry at any level.
I was born in Russia and Russian is my education language from the elementary school to my PhD degree. I am very proficient in Russian language not only from my scientific experience but also as a Russian-speaking freelance journalist. I tutored Russian language when I was living in Europe as well as in the United States.
