Through the years I have had the pleasure of working with an array of different age groups and signing styles/abilities. After majoring in Deaf Studies and taking the ITP (Interpreter Training Program) at Golden West College, I went on to work for North Orange County Community College District. Concurrently, I hosted a deaf event in Huntington Beach. It was a very successful event where I met many different people deaf, hearing, HH, and deaf-blind. Sadly, I had to give up the event when I relocated to Mammoth Lakes, CA. While in Mammoth, I as an interpreter for Bishop Unified School District.
Upon returning from Mammoth, I interpreted for Centralia Unified School District and taught weekly ASL lessons to all of the hearing classrooms k-6! I currently work as a services coordinator Access Interpreting.
Interpreting is my passion. I fell in love with the language and culture and enjoy sharing my passion with others who are enthusiastic and eager to learn!

Jacqueline was able to teach me how to properly sign. She is very patient and an excellent tutor. I will continue having her tutor me so that I am able to understand and sign fluently.

Needed help fast and got it

Jacqueline helped me prepare for a quiz I wasn't ready for. It was my first use of Wyzant, and it was a grade-saver. I'd 100% recommend her tutoring to anyone learning ASL and the Wyzant platform is much better than other tutoring services I as looking at that require you to pay for multi-hour blocks before you even meet the tutor.

Very helpful with good communication skills.

Jacqueline worked on a script with an actor that needed to learn ASL. She taught a number of fundamentals as well as the lines.
