With experience as a professional interpreter for Mandarin Chinese, I am accustomed to using both Chinese and English fluently. I am knowledgeable in both the language as well as the culture. I use a combination of textbook knowledge as well as practical knowledge in order to customize a lesson plan for each student, regardless of his/her level. In addition to Mandarin Chinese, I also speak Fukanese and Taiwanese dialects. All levels of students are welcome. If there are any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me. Jasmine has been tutoring for my two sons for several weeks now. They are very comfortable with her and are learning fast. She is extremely patient and lots of fun. She also has an excellent command of spoken and written Mandarin.
Jasmine was encouraging and helpful. I also appreciated her preparation because she had a lot of material to go over.
My wife is learning Chinese from Jasmine and so far she's been great. I also like the fact that she comes from Taiwan and her Mandarin has a Taiwanese accent.
Jasmine was always very encouraging. She patiently answered my questions. She came prepared each time. She went over and above to provide help on the songs I wanted to learn and understand. Thanks!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
