Hello! I recently received my J.D. from Santa Clara University Law, in Santa Clara, California. I offer tutoring in the following subjects:
Criminal Law/ Justice: Besides earning the CALI award for excellence in my Criminal Law class, I also received an advanced legal certification in Criminal Justice From SCU Law. I have experience in actual practice from two district attorney's offices. I have additional experience in criminal procedure from my time as an undergraduate, and can shape my tutoring to either a law student or a college student.
International Law/ Studies: I am well-versed in many area of international law. Besides earning an advanced certification in public international law from SCU Law, I co-majored in global and international studies and received the advanced global awareness program certification from the University of Kansas. I also competed and made the finals in the Pictet International Law competition. I spent an entire summer program studying the international courts and agencies in The Hague and Geneva, from the International Criminal Court to the International Labor Organization, and everything in between. I further have practical experience working for the Santa Clara Law Human Rights Clinic, during which I traveled to South America for a fact-finding mission. If you need help in the sources of international law, human rights law, the law of armed conflict/humanitarian law, international and United States law, as either a college or law student, I can help you.
Spanish: I have studied Spanish for almost 15 years. Advanced foreign language study was a requirement for my GAP certification at the University of Kansas, and I focused exclusively in Spanish. In law school, I spent a semester studying Spanish as it relates to lawyers. Living in the South Bay, I get to practice on an almost daily basis. In the practice of law, I often have to communicate with Spanish-speaking clients, and have helped to translate and interpret in a variety of settings. If you need to learn anything from basic small talk, to a full conversation, I will gladly teach you what you need to know.
Political Science: I graduated with honors from the University of Kansas with a degree in political science. There I studied everything from political theory to political parties. I am happy to tutor groups, however I must add $10/person to my normal rates. For young children, I will require a parent to be present.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I graduated from the University of Kansas with my BA is Political Science, focus on government. In that respect I studied American law and government, especially as compared and contrasted with the governments of other countries. Before graduating I participated in a semester long simulation wherein I assumed the role of a Senator and Congressman, one liberal and one conservative. It was, informative to say the least.
I also recently graduated from law school, which required me to spend to semesters studying U.S. Constitutional law. In these classes, we covered everything from powers of the government to civil rights and everything in between.

I graduated from the University of Kansas with my degree in Political Science, focusing mainly in government and law. During that period, I volunteered to work on a friend's campaign and participated in political simulations. Since, I have been involved in government work, political protests, and petitions. I have studied constitutional law in a variety of capacities dealing with political issues, from voting, campaigning, super PACs/campaign finance, and non-justifiable political questions.
